Dr. Benjamin Mizrachy is a renowned and greatly admired breast surgeon who has devoted more than 30 years to the treatment of breast cancer patients, specializing in the diagnosis and management of breast disorders. While he retired from his clinical work at the end of 2005, he continues to see patients in consultation and follow up in private practice in New York City. Dr. Mizrachy is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Surgery at Mount Sinai School of Medicine and Assistant Attending Surgeon at The Mount Sinai Hospital. Born and raised in South Africa, Dr. Mizrachy graduated from the University of Cape Town Medical School and completed his surgical residency at Mount Sinai. He was certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

In 1995, Dr. Mizrachy was presented with the Humanitarian Tower of Hope Award by the Israel Cancer Research Fund. He has also published numerous articles that have appeared in international medical journals. But perhaps even more significant than his surgical expertise and any professional accolade is his amazing ability to provide compassionate care and comfort to each of his patients. His high standard and philosophy of patient care serves as a source of strength and support to overwhelmed patients coping with a breast cancer diagnosis. His kindness and dedication to his patients speaks volumes, and is appreciated by many a grateful patient.

Dr. Mizrachy lives in Manhattan and enjoys traveling, sports, and spending time with family and friends in his spare time. The year marks the 41st year of Dr. Mizrachy’s association with Mt. Sinai.
