Robert A. Shivers

Robert A. Shivers earned his undergraduate degree from Texas A&M and his law degree from St. Mary's University of San Antonio, Texas at which he was a Delta Theta Phi Member of the St. Mary's University Law Review. He is a senior member of the immigration bar in Texas. Through his early work in the 1970s with the Peace Corps and Bexar County's Legal Aid Association, his later years of private practice, and his many years of teaching at St. Mary's University School of Law, he has been a mentor to countless immigration lawyers and law students. He is also a past chair of the American Immigration Lawyers Association's Texas Chapter and a regular speaker at criminal defense lawyer seminars in Texas and national AILA CLE programs.
