Luis A. Reyes

Luis A. Reyes was born in El Salvador in 1959. Because of the political troubles and repression in his country, he decided to come to the United States in 1977. He arrived in Washington, D.C. and got a job at Prime Rib Restaurant where he met his future business partner Raul Sanchez. Three years later they opened La Plaza Restaurant and then in 1983 Lauriol Plaza, both restaurants were very successful. In 1992 they opened Cactus Cantina which also has been a very sucessfull concept. In 1999, they opened Lauriol Plaza in a new location just one block from the original one. The restaurant was built from scratch and accommodates about 290 people in three levels. In its new home Lauriol Plaza has been even a bigger success.

Luis A. Reyes lives in Washington, D.C. with his wife Lorena and their two wonderful daughters Claudia Isabella and Daniella Fernanda.
