Liz Reyes is currently a news reporter for ABC 26 WGNO in New Orleans, Louisiana. She has been at ABC 26 for almost five years and reports weekdays at 5:00 pm, 6:00 pm and 10:00 pm.

Ms. Reyes came to New Orleans after working in Miami at the ABC-TV affiliate WPLG. She has reported on many stories spanning such topics as the crash of ValuJet in the Florida Everglades, the murder of fashion designer Gianni Versace, as well as several other high profile cases.

Prior to Miami, Ms. Reyes anchored at two of Canada’s CTV affiliates. Among the newsrooms she worked in were the National Canadian Broadcasting Corporation Television Newsroom (CBC) where she anchored on their 24 Hour Newsworld and reported at one of their affiliates.

Ms. Reyes immigrated to the United States more that ten years ago. She was born in Port of Spain, Trinidad. As a young child, she moved to Toronto, Canada where she spent the majority of her childhood. Ms. Reyes obtained a Bachelor’s degree from York University in
