Jeanne A. Butterfield is the Executive Director of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.

Ms. Butterfield is a graduate of Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts, and is a member of the Massachusetts Bar.

Prior to coming to AILA, she directed pro bono refugee and asylum programs in Boston, where she also spent several years in private immigration practice.

Ms. Butterfield served as the update author of the legal treatise Immigration Law and Crimes, published by Clark Boardman Ltd. She has authored several articles on immigration law and policy and has been featured as a keynote speaker at immigration law seminars across the United States and internationally.
